Here for a Good Time is the perfect read for anyone who wished the White Lotus was swoonier. War's writing sparkles with her trademark hilarious wit and genuine warmth, and I know that readers will fall as hard for Poe and Zwe as I did.
Pyae is now the absolute queen of taking a romantic trope and chucking her protagonists into the plot of Die Hard. You wouldn't think there'd be much romantic, sexual tension in a situation like this, but Pyae had me on the edge of my seat to know how both the romance and the life or death situation turned out. And there's the return of a much loved character from her previous novel too. LOVED it.

With witty dialogue, surprising twists, and some good old-fashioned romantic pining, readers are bound to fall in love right along with the main characters. Poe's humour and vulnerability and her adorable relationship with solid-gold sweetheart Zwe are the beating heart of the book. Best read with a cocktail in hand, soaking in the sunshiney hijinks
Here for a Good Time is a heart-felt, action-packed story that had me kicking my feet and gasping at the plot's twists and turns in equal measure. The protagonists' yearning and the cast of fun, campy side characters made this one of my reads of the summer!
