Celebrating her 45th birthday at her local pub, podcaster Alix Summer crosses paths with an unassuming woman called Josie Fair. Josie is also celebrating her 45th.

I was looking for a bit of a change and happened on None of this is true, it's is a rather clever story that starts slowly. But my word does it grab your attention, it's a stunning book brilliantly told, a definite must have. 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

Truly the best book EVER, if I was able to give it 100 stars I would. I'm delighted I stumbled across this absolute ace of a book. From the story plot, to the format, music, narration, cast it was like nothing I had listened to before. I found myself unable to switch it off painting away oblivious of time way into the early hours of the morning. I loved the different style of the audio book it was like being at the cinema/theatre and being so engrossed and invested in the characters visualising everything that was unfolding. I am away to find any other books by this author and I'm so looking forward to discovering them. A must read/listen for anyone ✨💫🌟⭐

This book is extraordinary! It's bonkers and brilliant - and really quite disturbing. I have no idea how Lisa Jewell came up with the concept but it is really is unputdownable. Or in this case, can't stop listening to. And that, I think, is the best way to experience this novel. The amazing narration skills of both Nicola Walker and Louise Brearley bring the characters of Alex and Josie to life, in a way I don't think reading the book could. This was my first Lisa Jewell novel but I know it won't be my last.

Amazing listen. The plot kept me guessing the whole way through. The full cast of narrators provided an incredible performance - especially loved listening to Nicola Walker. This is a book enjoyed best in audio.
