Bear Grylls is a British adventurer, television presenter, and author whose career as one of the world's most recognisable survival experts has spanned bestselling books, hit television series, and real-life feats of endurance. Born Edward Michael Grylls in London in 1974, he was educated at Eton College and served in the British Army's 21 SAS Regiment. At twenty-three, he became one of the youngest people to climb Mount Everest.
Grylls is best known for his television series Man vs. Wild (Born Survivor in the UK), Running Wild with Bear Grylls, and You vs. Wild, which have aired in over 180 countries. His books include Mud, Sweat and Tears (his autobiography), the Bear Grylls Adventures series for children, and numerous survival guides.
