Casey Watson

Casey Watson is a British author and foster carer whose memoirs chronicle her experiences caring for some of the most troubled and vulnerable children in the social care system. Writing under a pen name to protect the identities of the children, she has fostered dozens of young people over many years, and her books have brought the realities of fostering to a wide audience. Watson's memoirs include The Boy No One Loved, Crying for Help, Little Prisoners, and A Boy Without Hope, each telling the story of a specific child in her care and the challenges of helping them heal from abuse, neglect, and trauma. A Boy Without Hope follows the story of a deeply troubled boy who seems beyond help. Her books are characterised by their honesty about both the heartbreak and the rewards of fostering, and by her commitment to showing that every child deserves someone who won't give up on them. Her audiobooks and books offer listeners and readers powerful, compassionate true stories about the children society has failed and the foster carers who refuse to stop trying — memoirs that illuminate a world most people never see.
