Charles Darwin

Charles Darwin was one of the most influential scientists in human history, whose theory of evolution by natural selection transformed our understanding of life on Earth. Born in 1809, Darwin's observations during the voyage of HMS Beagle and his subsequent decades of research led to On the Origin of Species, published in 1859, which remains one of the most important scientific works ever written. His autobiography, written for his family and published posthumously, offers an intimate, modest account of his intellectual development and personal life. Darwin's audiobooks bring his elegant scientific prose and remarkable story to modern listeners.
