Charlotte Perkins Gilman

Charlotte Perkins Gilman was an American author, feminist, lecturer, and social reformer who was one of the most important intellectual voices of the early feminist movement. She is best known for her short story The Yellow Wallpaper, a landmark work of feminist literature about a woman's descent into madness under a patriarchal medical regime. The Crux is one of her novels exploring women's autonomy, health, and social reform. Gilman was decades ahead of her time in her thinking about gender, economics, and women's independence. Her audiobooks and books remain essential listening and reading for fans of feminist literature and American literary history.
