Chris Broad

Chris Broad is a British YouTuber, filmmaker, and author who has built one of the world's largest channels about life in Japan, Abroad in Japan, with millions of subscribers. He has lived in Japan since 2012. Abroad in Japan is his book about his experiences living, travelling, and making content in Japan — from the culture shocks and misunderstandings to the moments of wonder and absurdity. Broad's perspective as a long-term British resident gives him a deeper, more nuanced view of Japan than most travel writing offers. His audiobooks and books offer listeners and readers an entertaining, insightful guide to life in Japan from someone who has made it his home — travel writing with genuine depth beneath the humour.
