Christopher Isherwood

Christopher Isherwood was an Anglo-American novelist who became one of the most important writers of the twentieth century. His Berlin novels inspired the musical Cabaret. A Single Man, available as an audiobook and book, is his masterpiece — a day in the life of a grieving English professor in 1960s California that is at once deeply personal and universal. Isherwood's spare, luminous prose continues to move readers and listeners with its portrayal of loss, desire and quiet courage.
