Christopher Lee

Christopher Lee is a British dramatist and radio writer best known for creating popular BBC Radio 4 drama series. He is not to be confused with the late actor Sir Christopher Lee. His work for radio includes the comedy series Colvil & Soames, which combines wit, wordplay, and gentle satire. Colvil & Soames follows the adventures of two contrasting characters — the urbane Dorian Colvil and the practical George Soames — through a series of comic escapades. The Complete Series 1-2 collects the full run of this BBC Radio 4 comedy. Lee's writing for radio demonstrates the medium's unique ability to create vivid worlds through dialogue, sound, and the listener's imagination. His audiobooks and books offer listeners and readers witty, cleverly crafted radio comedy that celebrates the art of audio storytelling — entertainment designed for the ear that rewards close listening with sharp humour and inventive plotting.
