Clint Smith

Clint Smith is an American author, poet and journalist. His book and audiobook How the Word Is Passed is a powerful, critically acclaimed exploration of how America reckons — or fails to reckon — with its history of slavery, visiting landmarks and monuments across the country to examine how the past is remembered and misremembered. Smith's writing is lyrical, deeply researched and profoundly moving, and the audiobook is essential listening.
