Gail Simone is one of the most celebrated writers in American comics. She is best known for her definitive runs on Birds of Prey, Wonder Woman, Batgirl, and Secret Six for DC Comics. Red Sonja: Consumed is part of her acclaimed work on the Red Sonja character for Dynamite Comics, bringing feminist sensibility and sharp storytelling to the classic sword-and-sorcery heroine. Simone is also known for creating the Women in Refrigerators website, which highlighted the disproportionate mistreatment of female characters in comics. Her audiobooks and books have earned her a passionate following.
