Gerald Durrell

Gerald Durrell (1925–1995) was a British naturalist, conservationist, author, and zookeeper who founded the Jersey Zoo (now Durrell Wildlife Park) and the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust. His memoir My Family and Other Animals, about his childhood on Corfu, is one of the funniest and most beloved nature books ever written.
