James Lovegrove

James Lovegrove is a prolific British science fiction and fantasy author who has written over fifty books across multiple genres. Born in 1965, he studied English at Oxford and has published original fiction as well as tie-in novels for franchises including Warhammer 40,000 and Sherlock Holmes. Age of Aztec is part of his Pantheon series, which reimagines world mythologies in action-packed science fiction settings. Each novel in the series takes a different mythology — Greek, Norse, Egyptian, Aztec — and creates a world where those gods are real and their power shapes human civilisation. Lovegrove's fiction combines pulp energy with genuine imagination. His audiobooks and books offer listeners and readers high-octane science fiction and fantasy that brings world mythologies to life with inventive, action-packed storytelling.
