Ken MacLeod is a Scottish science fiction author whose politically engaged, intellectually ambitious fiction has won multiple awards and made him one of the most respected voices in British SF. Born in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis in 1954, he studied Zoology at Glasgow University.
Beyond the Hallowed Sky is the first in his Lightspeed trilogy, combining space opera with near-future political intrigue and the discovery that faster-than-light travel might be possible. MacLeod's fiction consistently engages with political philosophy, from socialism to libertarianism, and is characterised by its intellectual rigour and its Scottish wit.
His audiobooks and books offer listeners and readers politically sharp, intellectually ambitious science fiction from one of the finest writers in British SF.
