Leslie Charteris (1907–1993) was a British-Chinese author best known as the creator of Simon Templar, "The Saint" — one of the most iconic characters in twentieth-century popular fiction. Born Leslie Charles Bowyer-Yin in Singapore, Charteris wrote dozens of Saint novels and stories over a career spanning six decades.
Enter the Saint is one of the early entries in the long-running series, introducing the suave, adventurous, and morally ambiguous Templar as he outsmarts criminals and authorities alike. The Saint stories combined action, humour, and a gentleman-adventurer charm that inspired numerous film, television, and radio adaptations, most famously the TV series starring Roger Moore.
Charteris's audiobooks and books continue to entertain listeners and readers who appreciate classic adventure fiction. The Saint remains one of the great characters of popular literature, and Charteris's elegant, witty prose gives these stories an enduring appeal that transcends their era.
