Patrick Hamilton (1904–1962) was an English novelist and playwright whose dark, psychologically penetrating work captures the seedy underside of mid-twentieth-century London life. His novels include Hangover Square, The Slaves of Solitude, and the Twenty Thousand Streets Under the Sky trilogy. His play Gaslight coined the term for a form of psychological abuse. Craven House is one of his early novels. Hamilton's audiobooks offer listeners brilliant, atmospheric fiction from one of the most underrated English writers of the twentieth century.
