Philip K. Dick

Philip K. Dick was an American science fiction writer whose visionary, paranoid fiction anticipated many of the philosophical and technological anxieties of the twenty-first century. Born in Chicago in 1928, he wrote over forty novels and over one hundred short stories in a career plagued by financial hardship and personal turmoil. His short stories are among the most influential in science fiction history, exploring themes of reality, identity, memory, and what it means to be human. Many have been adapted into major films, including Blade Runner, Total Recall, Minority Report, and A Scanner Darkly. Dick's work has become increasingly relevant as technology has caught up with his imagination. Dick died in 1982. His audiobooks and books offer listeners and readers visionary science fiction that asks the most fundamental question of all — what is real?
