Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks was one of the most influential religious leaders, philosophers, and public intellectuals of his generation. He served as Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth from 1991 to 2013, and his writings and broadcasts on morality, faith, and the challenges of modern society reached audiences far beyond the Jewish community. His work Morality in the 21st Century examines the moral challenges facing contemporary society, exploring how we can build ethical frameworks capable of sustaining communities, democracies, and individual dignity in an age of rapid technological and social change. Sacks was the author of more than thirty books, including The Dignity of Difference, Not in God's Name, and Morality: Restoring the Common Good in Divided Times, each of which combined philosophical rigour with accessible, compassionate prose. He was awarded a life peerage in 2009, becoming Baron Sacks of Aldgate, and received numerous international awards for his contributions to interfaith dialogue, education, and public discourse. His thought drew on Jewish tradition, Western philosophy, and contemporary social science, creating a uniquely broad and humane perspective on the questions that matter most to how we live together. Sacks passed away in 2020, but his work continues to inspire readers and listeners worldwide. Morality in the 21st Century is available as an audiobook, offering listeners the wisdom of one of the great moral voices of our time.
