Rebecca Schiller is a British author, doula and campaigner for birth rights. She is the co-chair of Birthrights, a charity dedicated to improving women's experience of pregnancy and birth through human rights, and has supported hundreds of women through pregnancy and birth as a practising doula.
A Thousand Ways to Pay Attention is her memoir exploring her late diagnosis of ADHD and how she found focus, purpose and peace through working on a smallholding in the Kent countryside. The book weaves together her personal journey with the rhythms of the land, exploring how outdoor work and connection with nature helped her understand her own mind. It is also a story about neurodivergence, motherhood and finding a way of living that works for you.
Available as both a book and an audiobook, A Thousand Ways to Pay Attention offers beautiful listening and reading for anyone interested in neurodiversity, nature writing, and the search for a life that makes sense on your own terms.
