Robert E. Howard

Robert E. Howard (1906–1936) was an American author who was one of the most influential writers of fantasy, horror, and adventure fiction in the twentieth century. He is best known as the creator of Conan the Barbarian, one of the most iconic characters in popular culture. A Witch Shall Be Born is a Conan story that showcases Howard's visceral, propulsive storytelling at its best — featuring sword fights, sorcery, treachery, and the indomitable will of his most famous creation. Howard's writing crackles with energy and imagination, and his influence on the sword-and-sorcery genre is incalculable. Howard's audiobooks and books continue to thrill listeners and readers nearly a century after they were written. His work appeals to fans of fantasy, adventure, and pulp fiction, and to anyone who appreciates storytelling that is unapologetically exciting, imaginative, and larger than life.
