Because I Want You

Synopsis

From New York Times best-seller Claire Contreras comes a new, sexy stand-alone mafia romance novel . . .   He promised to protect me. Now it's him I need protection from.Roselyn Vega -   Before Dominic De Luca broke into my apartment in the middle of the night, I hadn't seen him in 10yrs. It doesn't take long for me to realize that he followed in his father's footsteps into the world of organized crime. After giving me a run-down of what kind of trouble I may be in, he demands I pack my bag and go with him. There's so much uncertainty and chaos in my life, that I go willingly. In hindsight, I shouldn't have. Each day that passes brings more complexity to our relationship and I realize that the danger I was facing alone was less scary than opening myself up to someone this dangerous.   Dominic De Luca -   There's a code between brothers. I should know. I have a lot of them.   Don't lie.   Don't steal from each other.   Don't f each other's women without permission.   This particular situation made that last one a little less black and white because even though my brother dated Rosie, I saw her and wanted her first. A lot has changed in 10 years. I've changed, and my circumstances have changed, but my confounding, obnoxious crush on Rosie? Yeah, that's still the same, and having her this close to me every single day is slowly breaking my resolve and making me forget everything the code says about not touching what isn't yours.   ---- tropes: it's always been you brother's ex-girlfriend he falls first overprotective mc possessive/jealous mc
