What to expect

Ashley Herring Blake draws her characters with such beautiful, loving depth, and infinite compassion for the many ways relatives and friends can both hurt and heal each other. And let's not forget the snappy banter and seriously scorching chemistry; you'll need a very cold shower after this read!

Fabulous Lesbian / Bi book with wonderfully rich and evocative characters. There are echoes of Shane, Alice and Tina from tge “L” word transported to rural Oregon but that added to the fun for me. The “That’s totally Alice” moments.
The world building and conflict is expertly crafted but beware, the sex scenes are raunchy, which may be uncomfortable for some listeners so use the skip function if it gets too much for you.
The storyline is good but stutters in places so 4 stars.
The narration is excellent, brings out the best in the book, the “that’s totally Shane “ moments especially and keeps the momentum of the story going. 5 stars.
Thus is the first in a series and i immediately downloaded the next, so yes, I’m hooked.VRS 2025-10-08
