Synopsis

This brilliantly conceived audiobook begins with the sudden death of a young violinist during a concert performance of Gustav Mahler's Sixth Symphony at the Royal Albert Hall in London, with music from the Boston Symphony Orchestra woven throughout this truly classical whodunnit. Blind, curmudgeonly violinist Jacobus and his companions, Yumi Shinagawa and Nathaniel Williams, join forces with Branwell Small, a questionably trustworthy partner in crime solving as they follow every baffling twist and turn. The talents of a world-class orchestra and world-class narrator combine in this thrilling audiobook, full of secrets and surprises that will keep mystery and classical music lovers on the edge of their seats. "The plot skates off in surprising directions and, as always, offers readers fascinating glimpses into the working life of a musician. One needn't be a classical music aficionado to appreciate this clever, pacey entry." Publishers Weekly
