The Dark Abyss

Operating from the deepest shadows of the dark web, a sadistic predator orchestrates his atrocities remotely, hiring ruthless mercenaries to abduct women off the streets of Denmark and stream their terrifying final moments live directly to his screen. His methods are flawless, his proxies are disposable, and his identity remains completely hidden. Meanwhile, former detective Hans Schmidt is trapped behind the concrete walls of Denmark's most impenetrable prison. Wrongfully convicted of a horrific murder spree, Hans is locked away with the nation's most dangerous criminals. But as he pieces together the evidence from his cell, Hans realizes the true mastermind-an old enemy known only as the Barber-pulled the strings to frame him. Knowing the justice system has failed, Hans must do the unthinkable: orchestrate an impossible escape from a maximum-security fortress. On the outside, traumatized police investigator Louise Andersen is the only one who knows Hans is innocent. But the dark web syndicate is already closing in on her. The Barber has a deeply personal vendetta, and he is obsessed with making Louise the star of his next snuff film. To stay alive, she must risk her badge and her freedom to help Hans break out and dismantle the lethal network together, before the cameras start rolling on her own demise.
