Madeline Miller, author of CIRCE
-
It is not merely a 5* book, it's a masterpiece . . . readers will be talking about these books long after much of what currently keeps them company on the shelves is forgotten . . . I was thrilled by the story, wildly jealous of the writing, and am now very keen to read the final book
Mark Lawrence
-
The Hod King is a vibrant, wholly original, and expertly crafted novel that transcends genre fantasy. It is an instant literary classic
FANTASY BOOK REVIEW
-
Just as phenomenally written as its two predecessors . . . this one gets 6/5 stars, because 5 stars are not enough for the amount that I loved it. A universe of stars out of five!

Senlin Ascends crosses the everyday strangeness and lyrical prose of Borges and Gogol with all the action and adventure of high fantasy. I loved it, and grabbed the next one as soon as I turned the last page

Brilliant debut fantasy . . . this novel goes off like a firework and suggests even greater things in the author's future
