Samuel Pepys

Samuel Pepys (1633–1703) was an English diarist and naval administrator whose diary, kept from 1660 to 1669, is one of the most important primary sources for the history of Restoration England. Pepys recorded everyday life, politics, the Great Plague, the Great Fire of London and his own personal affairs with extraordinary candour and vivid detail. Audiobook editions of his diary bring his irresistible voice and the colour of seventeenth-century London to modern listeners.
