What to expect

Do You Respond According to an Image? Public Discussion • Brockwood Park, 1975 In this perceptive public discussion, J. Krishnamurti examines how images shape our relationships and reactions. We form mental pictures of ourselves and of others through memory, experience, judgement and expectation. But when we respond to these images, are we truly meeting another person, or merely reacting to an idea created by thought? Krishnamurti explores how psychological images generate conflict, hurt and division, and asks whether relationship can exist without the interference of the past. A searching enquiry into memory, identity, relationship and the possibility of meeting life directly, without distortion.
